This is an Adinkra symbol - originting from the Gold Coast, Ghana whooo my mother country. Adinkra are symbols that represent concepts or sayings. These symbols are used a lot in African cloth as logos, design and used in Sculture.
Dwennimmen (Ram's Horn) - symbol of humility together with strength
There are a phenomenal amount of adinkra symbols which date back to the mid 1920's, probably a lot earlier, it would literally take a book for me to write about ... so I won't speak much more on this .
This specific symbol resides in my childhood home which also has pride of place nice and neatly in my heart.
